§01 Before You Start Four things

Keep these ready.

The form takes about ten minutes if you have everything with you. You can save and come back later — we keep your answers on this device.

ITEM 01

A parent or guardian

You are under 18, so the law says we need a parent or guardian to say yes first. They need to be with you, with their phone.

Mandatory
ITEM 02

Your demo video

Two to four minutes showing your project actually working. Put it on YouTube or Google Drive and copy the link.

Mandatory
ITEM 03

Your code

A public GitHub link with your Arduino code and a short note on how you wired it up. Private links cannot be opened by judges.

Mandatory
ITEM 04

Report and invoice

One PDF explaining your project, plus your XGenAI.IN bill number and a photo or copy of the bill.

Mandatory

§02 The Form Five steps

Your submission.

Before you fill this in — please read with a parent or guardian

Everyone entering this competition is under 18. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, we must have permission from a parent or guardian before we collect or use a child's information. That is why Step 2 asks for their details and their agreement.

What we collect: your name, class, school, phone number, email, your parent or guardian's name and phone, your project details, and the files you upload.

What we use it for:

  • Running the competition — checking your entry, judging it, and contacting you
  • Showing your project on the public voting page and leaderboard
  • Programme updates and the Finale

What we show publicly: by default, only your team name, school and project. You can choose in Step 2 whether your first name appears too. We never publish your phone number, email or address.

How long we keep it: 12 months after the Finale, then it is deleted.

Your rights: you or your guardian can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time. Write to our Grievance Officer, A. Shaw, at bharataichallenge@xroboticsworks.com. Jurisdiction: Kolkata.

§03 How You're Scored 100 points

What the judges look for.

A panel scores every checked entry on the same five things. Public votes are counted separately for the People's Choice awards and do not change your panel score.

C.01
Is the problem real?
Something specific and worth solving. Vague problems score low.
20
C.02
Does it actually work?
Quality of the build, the circuit and the code.
25
C.03
Is it your own thinking?
How much is genuinely yours, versus a copied tutorial.
20
C.04
Who does it help?
Who benefits, at what cost, and could it be made at scale.

C.05
How well did you explain it?

§04 Rules & Questions Eight entries

Read before you send.

Why do you need my parent's permission?

Because everyone in this competition is under 18. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 says a company must have a parent or guardian's verified consent before it collects a child's personal information. We confirm their number by code so the consent is properly recorded. There is no way around this step.

Can I change my entry after sending it?

No — entries lock as soon as you send them. If something is genuinely wrong, like a broken link or the wrong file, email us from your registered address before the closing date and we will reopen your entry once.

Can I save and finish later?

Yes. Your answers are saved on this device as you go, so you can close the page and come back. Files are not saved though — you will need to add those again. Use the same device and browser.

How many projects can one team send?

One. A team sends a single project in a single track. If you have two ideas, pick the stronger one.

My code link is private. Is that a problem?

Yes. Judges cannot score code they cannot open. Set it to public before you send, and keep it public until the Finale.

What if I lost my XGenAI.IN bill?

Call the support line with your registered mobile number and roughly when you bought it. We can find it in our records. Do not send your entry without it — entries without a checked bill are rejected.

Can my teacher or parent help build it?

Advice is fine and expected. The build, the code and the pitch have to be yours. Judges ask direct technical questions at the Finale, and answers that do not match your entry mean disqualification.

Is there a late window after the closing date?

No. The form closes automatically. Do not leave it to the last evening — school internet and video uploads always fail at the worst moment.
